Good to know

DOCX files are reflowed into flattened PDF pages. Text, tables and images are included; original pagination, headers, footers and advanced layout may change. PDF text is not selectable. Legacy .doc files must first be saved as .docx.

A PRACTICAL GUIDE

How to convert Word to PDF

Create a PDF from a modern DOCX document when you need a portable copy. This converter reflows the document and renders the result as page images.

  1. Choose one or more .docx files. Save older .doc documents as .docx before adding them.

  2. Choose A4 or Letter, portrait or landscape, and the page margins.

  3. Select Convert to PDF and download the result. Check page breaks, tables and images before sharing.

What happens to formatting?

Text, tables and images are included, but original pagination, headers, footers and advanced Word layouts may change. If exact pagination is essential, use your Word processor’s own PDF export.

Flattened output

The resulting pages are images. Their text is not selectable and links are not interactive. Keep the original DOCX for future edits and accessibility needs.

Common questions

Can I convert an older .doc file?

This tool accepts .docx only. Open the older document in a compatible editor and save it as DOCX first.

Can I select or search text in the new PDF?

No. This converter creates flattened image pages. Keep the Word original or use a text-preserving export from your document editor when searchable text is required.
