Images are placed on separate Word pages. Use Image to text if you need editable text from a scan.

A PRACTICAL GUIDE

How to place images in a Word document

Collect photos, screenshots or scanned pages in a DOCX file, with one image on each page.

  1. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP image files.

  2. Set their order with the file arrows and adjust page size, margins and orientation.

  3. Select Create Word document and download the DOCX.

Images stay as images

This tool embeds the original visual content; it does not recognize the text inside it. Use Image to text if you need editable words from a scan.

Choose an appropriate page shape

Landscape pages can fit wide screenshots better. Portrait pages suit most document scans. Leave enough margin for the way you plan to print or share the file.

Common questions

Can I edit the words in a photo after conversion?

No. The photo is an image in Word. Extract the words with Image to text, then convert that TXT output with Text to Word if you need editable text.

Can I change the image order?

Yes. Use the arrows next to each file before creating the document. The output follows that order.
