A PRACTICAL GUIDE

How to merge PDF files

Combine separate reports, scans or attachments into one PDF in the order you choose.

  1. Add at least two unencrypted PDFs, up to 10 files in a batch.

  2. Arrange them with the file arrows. Leave page selection blank to include every page.

  3. Select Merge PDFs, download the combined file and check its page order.

Understand page selection

A page range applies to each input file. Leave it blank when merging documents of different lengths in full. To keep different pages from each document, extract those pages first.

Review interactive features

Page operations may not preserve digital signatures, bookmarks or interactive forms. Keep your originals, especially for signed documents.

Common questions

Does merging reduce image quality?

This tool copies PDF pages instead of rasterizing them, so it does not intentionally recompress page images.

Can I merge encrypted PDFs?

The page organization tools require unencrypted PDFs. Open and save an authorized unencrypted copy with your PDF editor first.
