Good to know

Use unencrypted PDFs up to 200 pages each. Digital signatures may be invalidated by page edits. Cropping hides content without removing it; visible signatures are not cryptographic. Review the output before use.

Add a text watermark to a PDF

Mark a working copy as draft or add another short label. The watermark is visible but does not prevent copying or editing.

Select an unencrypted PDF and enter short watermark text such as DRAFT.
Leave the page range blank for all pages, or enter selected page numbers.
Select Add watermark and inspect the new PDF before sharing.

Visibility and placement

The stamp is semi-transparent and diagonal. Long text is scaled to fit, so concise labels are easier to read.

Not a security control

A watermark does not encrypt the document or establish ownership. Keep sensitive documents in an appropriate access-controlled system.

Common questions

Can I add an image logo?

This tool adds text only. Use a short basic Latin label; image watermarks are not available here.

Will the original be changed?

No. Download the stamped copy separately.
