Re-save a readable PDF

This tool loads a PDF that can still be opened and writes it as a new file. It may help when a reader dislikes the original structure, but it cannot reconstruct lost pages.

Choose an unencrypted PDF that can still be opened.
Select Re-save PDF and download the fresh copy.
Open the result in another PDF viewer and inspect its important pages, forms, links and signatures.

Understand the limit

A document with missing data or severe corruption cannot be repaired by rewriting it. Try the original source or a backup instead.

Keep both copies

Re-saving can alter metadata and invalidate digital signatures. Keep the original and compare the output before replacing anything.

Common questions

Can it restore pages from a file that will not open?

No. The file must have enough readable structure for the PDF library to load it.

Does it remove a password?

No. Password recovery and encrypted PDFs are not supported here.
