Good to know

Use unencrypted PDFs up to 200 pages each. Digital signatures may be invalidated by page edits. Cropping hides content without removing it; visible signatures are not cryptographic. Review the output before use.

A PRACTICAL GUIDE

Place a visible name on a PDF

Add a typed name above a line on the last selected page. Use this for an informal visual mark only, where no authenticated signature is required.

Choose an unencrypted PDF and enter the name to display.
Enter the target page number. If left blank, the mark goes on the final page.
Select Add signature and review its position in the downloaded copy.

No identity verification

This does not validate the signer, create a certificate or provide a cryptographic audit trail. Use a dedicated e-signature service when the recipient requires those features.

Fixed placement

The mark appears near the lower right edge. Check that it does not cover existing text before sharing.

Common questions

Is this legally equivalent to a digital signature?

No. It is only a visible typed name; requirements for a valid signature depend on the document and jurisdiction.

Can I draw my handwritten signature?

This tool only places typed basic Latin text. Handwriting and remote signing requests are not supported.
