Good to know

Use unencrypted PDFs up to 200 pages each. Digital signatures may be invalidated by page edits. Cropping hides content without removing it; visible signatures are not cryptographic. Review the output before use.

A PRACTICAL GUIDE

Crop the visible area of PDF pages

Set the same trim in PDF points on each edge. Cropping changes what a viewer displays, while content outside the crop remains in the file.

Choose an unencrypted PDF and optionally select pages.
Enter a trim amount from 1 to 150 points for each edge. Start small: 18 points is a quarter inch.
Select Crop pages, download the result and inspect every affected page.

Cropping is not redaction

Content outside the crop may still be recoverable. Never use this tool to hide confidential information.

Avoid cutting off content

The same margin is applied to each edge of every selected page. Test a representative page, especially when page sizes differ.

Common questions

Does cropping make the file smaller?

Usually not. It adjusts the visible page box rather than deleting images or text.

Can I trim different amounts on each side?

This tool currently uses an equal amount on all four edges. Keep the original if you need a more precise crop.
