A form can reject a photo because of its file size, pixel dimensions or format. This tool starts with a 100 KB target and JPG output, so you can work on the size limit immediately. Check the form’s other requirements before you upload the result.
Choose an image from your device. Target file size is already selected, with a maximum of 100 KB per image and JPG output.
If the form specifies width and height, set them in Resize. Use Advanced to turn off automatic resizing when those dimensions must stay fixed.
Select Compress images. Check the output size, dimensions and preview, then download the result. Any missed target is reported beside the file.
Automatic resizing can reduce pixel dimensions to reach a small size. If a form requires an exact width and height, disable this option after choosing the required dimensions. You may then need a different format or a less detailed source image to meet the file-size limit.
JPG is often useful for photos, but it removes transparency and can blur fine text. PNG preserves transparency and sharp edges, although reducing its quality setting does not reduce its size. WebP is another option when the destination accepts it.
This tool treats 1 KB as 1,024 bytes, so a 100 KB target is 102,400 bytes. A form that uses a strict 100,000-byte limit may still reject that result. Try 97 KB for a small margin below that limit and check the downloaded file’s properties.
A smaller file is only useful if the important detail remains readable. Open the comparison preview and inspect signatures, small lettering and facial detail. Keep the original file so you can try another setting without repeatedly compressing an already compressed image.
The tool attempts to meet your selected target. Complex images, fixed dimensions or a lossless output format can prevent it. A warning identifies a missed target; try smaller dimensions or another supported format.
Yes. Change Maximum size per image to your required value. The same target applies to every image in the batch.
Size is only one requirement. Check accepted formats, exact pixel dimensions, the limit in bytes and any photo-content requirements. Compression alone does not establish compliance with an identity-photo standard.
