JPG cannot store transparent pixels. A transparent logo is composited onto the selected solid background. Match that background to where the image will be used, and inspect anti-aliased edges for a visible halo.
JPG often makes photographic PNGs smaller. Screenshots, diagrams and small text can develop fuzzy edges or block artifacts. Try higher quality or keep PNG when exact line detail matters.
